Joint Wellness

Joint Wellness by Karen Voss at LoHi Physical Therapy

Joint Wellness has been designed to provide you the opportunity to learn about the anatomy of your major joints of your body and why certain movements are essential to joint wellness to aid mobility without strain.  It is based on skills learned as a clinician working in neuro-trauma and orthopedic rehabilitation settings.   In Joint Wellness, the movement patterns  are functional based on typical neuro-developemental patterns, anatomy and biomechanics.  I incorporate knowledge gleaned from course work  with Aston Therapeutics and with the Institute of Physical Art as well as other sensory/neuro-motor training.

I provide a personal touch by keeping the class ratio 3 participants to 1 therapist class ratio provides you an opportunity to learn by doing, ask questions and repeat techniques as much as needed.  You can integrate Joint Wellness with your current routine of exercise, stretch, range of motion program.  If you don't already have a program Joint Wellness can become your routine.

Joint Wellness involves floor activities using gravity to tone muscles without strain, to change your alignment. We will address every major joint in your body including toes, ankles, knees, hips, back, shoulder, neck, elbow, wrist and digits.
